Co to je Glutathion a proč je obsažen v NutriaPlus?

Glutathion patří k nejsilnějším antioxidantům, protože má silné tlumící účinky proti vzniku volných radikálů. Jedná se o tripeptid, který se účastní reakcí katalyzovaných několika enzymy. Označení tri- v názvu tripeptid vyjadřuje, že je složen ze tří aminokyselin.

Glutathion je složen z kyseliny glutamové, cysteinu a glycinu. Glutathion je také důležitou součástí v metabolismu cizorodých látek (xenobiotik), kdy po jejich předchozí hydroxylaci umožňuje tvorbu polárních metabolitů, které jsou již dobře rozpustné ve vodných roztocích a tím se významně zvyšuje možnost jejich vyloučení z těla ven.
